A bit corny – a photographic sequence

In this part of Austria they grow a lot of corn – that’s corn for the animals, not corn for people to eat. And every year it astounds me just how damn high those things can grow. So this year, I took a series of photographs to track the height of the corn. And hey, so I’m not photographer, but I still think the results are pretty cool!

Too add a sense of scale – me (166cm) when they are at their highest

After they dry out, it’s time for the harvest… and it’s all over until next year 🙂

In a way, these photos remind me of those little flip book animations. Cool to see how fast that stuff shoots up – it looks twice your height (more?) in the penultimate photo!

Yep – don’t know exactly but seemed about 2.5x my height! Crazy!

Beautiful catalog of the passing seasons! Really something to see the changes!
